Von Miller makes it known what he thinks the Bills should do in the draft

After trading former No. 1 wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans, it’s almost a forgone conclusion the Buffalo Bills will be targeting a wide receiver with their first pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Judging by a recent Instagram story, star edge-rusher Von Miller appears to support that decision, only he took it a step further and is seemingly encouraging Bills general manager Brandon Beane to trade up in the first round to get a premier pass-catcher.

The top three receivers in the 2024 class — Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr., LSU’s Malik Nabers and Washington’s Rome Odunze — may be a bit of a pipedream for Buffalo as all three will likely be picked in the top 10.

However, a move up for a player in the second tier of wideouts — which includes LSU’s Brian Thomas Jr. and Texas’ Adonai Mitchell — could be a more feasible option with the Bills likely only having to move up from No. 28 overall into the 14-20 range.

The Indianapolis Colts, who pick 15th, the Seattle Seahawks, who pick 16th and the Pittsburgh Steelers, who pick 20th, could be trade-up possibilities. All three teams are tied for the fourth-fewest picks in the draft (seven) and could be enticed to move back to stockpile more draft capital.

If Buffalo wants to swing for the fences, the Chicago Bears, who pick ninth, and the New York Jets, who pick 10th, are both low on draft currency and could also be tempted to trade back if the price is right. The Bears have just four picks in 2024 (fewest of any team), while the Jets have just seven selections and don’t pick in the second round.
